Bay Street is Toronto's major financial street located in downtown Toronto, Canada. Known for years as Toronto's Financial district it is often compared to Wall Street in New York City though not as grande in scale. One specific intersection at Bay and King Street is seen as the vortex of Canadian banking and Canadian finance. Four of our countries five major banks have their head office towers at this same intersection and they are the Bank of Montreal, Scotiabank, CIBC, and the Toronto-Dominion Bank.
The core section of towers have made their way northward with a new 50-storey Bay Adelaide Centre and now the new Trump Tower Toronto, under construction. Many of Toronto's financial elite made Bay Street Toronto their financial home as well with numerous condo developments springing up every year.
